Stem cell is the name of the main cells that create the tissues and organs that create the living metabolism. They differ from other cells in our body. Their basic feature is that they do not serve a purpose yet. Since they have not yet experienced the differentiation stage, they tend to meet the existing need. In case of damage to any tissue or organ, they have the ability to divide unlimitedly and transform into the required cell. There are various methods of obtaining and creating stem cells, but they are generally examined in 3 types. Totipotent, multipotent and pluripotent are the names of these 3 types of cells.

The totipotent cell has the widest area of ​​use because it has the ability to transform into any cell, tissue and even any organ. Multipotent cells are cells used in more advanced stages and do not have the ability to transform into any cell, tissue or organ. Pluripotent cells have a wide range of transformation abilities, but this ability is not as broad as totipotent cells. Stem cells have an extraordinary potential to develop many different cell types in the body. Stem cells form the basis of all cells. These cells, which have not yet differentiated, have the ability to divide and renew themselves unlimitedly, and to transform into organs and tissues. When stem cells divide, they either remain as stem cells or transform into cells with more diverse characteristics and functions, such as skin cells. Stem cells, which are the center of tissue renewal, can only divide a limited number of times.
